Manaiakalani film festival.

Last last week we went to Sylvia Park for Manaiakalani. Manaiakalani is a group of school That makes little films and our school that's called pt England school made a lot of cool movies and even Ruapotaka came with us and stayed in the same theatre as us. We really enjoyed being with Ruapotaka,  cause it was their first time and we wanted to show "SWALL" the whole way. As we were leaving I could see different schools from the Manaiakalani cluster coming and going and there were lots of schools but it was fun and cool seeing new faces. I can't wait for the next Manaiakalani film festival because it was lots of fun.

Expanding Numbers.

Today at maths class we did some maths work. My group Ahua  did something a little bit different and the work is called Expanding numbers. Expanding Numbers means when you are doing adding takeaways or = you can do anything with it but you have to try and Fugger out the Answers.    

Rainbows End trip

Last week on Friday the year 7 went to Rainbows end.

Rainbows End is a place that has a lot of cool rides and I am going to tell you what happened in that day.

First we have to get ready and wake up to get ready for the big day and the coolest day ever.

when we got to school we just played a little bit and we have to wait for the bell when the bell rang we have to go set down on the street and the teachers have to remind us what we were going to do. After that Mrs Tele’a have to put us in groups and the people who was in my was trinity my best friend and she is a girl and 2 boys and their names were Matiu and Maurice and the leader of my group was my dad.

When we got there we went to the roller coaster and it was so exciting when we went inside and I was so scared and so excited and when it went of I was screaming the whole way and the scariest part is when we went down to roller coaster I had a bad feeling that I might sbue and the coolest part of the roller coaster was when we went to the rolling part and it was cool. After the roller coaster we went to the invader and that was the best ride I've ever been to and I am going to tell you about that ride.

What the invader do is it spins around and it goes up and down and it was the coolest ride ever and the color of the ride. After the invader we went to the log ride and the log ride was a little bit scary because there are rules and 1 of the rules says do not rock the log because my dad keeps on rocking the log and I always shout at him..

The next ride we went to was the gold rush and the gold rush is cool to but it is a little bit fast and a little bit scary because when I was little girl like 5 years old i want to the gold rush and I was so scary because that was my first time there.

The next one we went to was the bumper cars all we have to do is we have to bump people of and it is fun to after the bumper cars we went to the bumper boats and we have to try to bump some more people but we have to try to wet them as well. When we have finished the bumper boats we went to the pirate ride and all it dose is swings around and sometimes we get butterfly and I always laugh and it is fun. After the pirate ride we went to the fear fall the fear fall is my scariest ride ever.

What the fear fall dose is it go's up really slow and it stays at the top for and When we are ready to go down it goes down fast and you can not breath.

The last ride we went to was the racing cars and the racing cars was my favorite one ever because when we were waiting for our ride I did not know how to drive it but now I can. And RAINBOWS END was my favorite trip ever and I just want to thank all the parents helpers because we had fun with them. I hope you enjoy.

Google cardboard.

This week we learned something very fun and cool and I am going to write you about what we learned and have fun let's get started.

 what we did was to meet new people and learned about this new thing that's couled the google cardboard a google cardboard is a very fun thing to do what it does is when you look inside you get to go anywhere we want to go and it was so fun.

 A google cardboard looks like a box but it’s not just a box it is the coolest box in the whole wide world because when you see inside the box you get to go anywhere. I was so excited to use the beautiful google cardboard.

hi my name is raewen and we have learned about Rainbow and I also learned about colourblind
and colorblind means that when you see some thing from a rainbow just one rainbow and that's the end of my story.
 

The Amazing race.

Week we did a little activity and it was called the Amazing race and it was fun. First we have to go in little groups and Mrs Tele’a has to send us in each activity and each activity's has out team 5 teachers and first we went to Mrs tele’a and her activity was the photo booth and all we have to do is but on some custom and Mrs tele’a have to take a photo of us and it was funny. the second activity was the cookie face and all you have to do is but a cookie on your face and you have to try to get it down to your libs and if you win you get 50 or 100 or 10 points. After the cookie face game we went to the to the next activity and it was called the peas pipes game and the teacher who was looking after that game was mrs Hockley and all we have to do is get a stray and we have to breathe one peas on the stray and we have to try to get it in the other side and we have to drop it in a plate. The last game we played was the grossest game ever but I do not know what's the game called but it was fun the teacher who was looking after the last Activity was Miss peato and we have to eat gross stuff and the first challenge was eating a weetabix and the one who was doing it in our team was may and moses and the person who won the weetabix challenge was jalen and moses came feared was moses. The last challenge was the pastor and the fruit challenge and it was disgusting and three people from each group have to stand up and we have to go one at a time and eat the pastor thing whatever it’s called but it was fun anyways because we get to play different kind of challenge and it was fun.

A time when something went missing.

When we were at tonga and it was the last day we were packing our stuff and then we went in and sat inside my uncles trucks and of we went to the tonga airport and then we went to go buy some snacks and then we had to go do our bags and then It was time to say good by to our lovely tonga family and then It was time for us to fly. When we got there we went to do our bags again and then we went out of the bag Area and we went to say hi to our NZ family then we went to MC to get something to eat and we went back home and I went in my bag and went to look for my tablet and it got lost at tonga and I was so sad.

Rainbows End.

On monday in the holiday I went to Rainbows ends and it was for my sister and brothers rugby team and we had a lot of fun and I am going to tell you what ride we went on and I hope you enjoy. When we got to Rainbows End we all went to go find a sbot that we can put our food and then we all got in groups and I was in the same group as my family. The first ride we went to was the log ride and I thought that it was going to be scary but the most scariest part is when we went down and I was so  embarrassed because I did not know that there was a camera in the log ride and I looked just like a screaming girl. Then we were going to the new ride and it was very scary so I just ran away and my friend have to go by herself and she did not care. next we went to have lunch and what we had for lunch was sausages and some meat pades and some chips  and drinks and bread and It was really yummy. and that was the end of my rainbows End story.

 Five New Zealanders went to philippines to do different kind of staffs and to get more money. They fought they Were doing really hared but they wornt. The thing that was Shoking to me was that they wornt doing really hared so they was not even close to get eny money.

This term we are learning what it means to be financially responsible.  This week we learnt about our wants and needs.

Immersion Assembly.

On the first day of school for term 3 we had our school Immersion Assembly. Mr Burt calls each team to perform.  We get to see what we are going to learn about this term.  We are going to learn about ‘Trade and Enterprise’.

The item that I like the most was team 4’s.  They had a boy who was trying to make money.  He was trying to make a decision.  His emotions came out, they were calm, Extra Happy and sassy and they were Helping the boy making money because the little boy did not have any money.

Then Mr Burt calls team five to come up and do their performance and it was about Financially responsible

and it was so funny because Mr barks was dress as a girl

and he was so funny. Then Miss peato Mrs moula and Miss clark was coming to Mr wiseman and sealing some

clouths and mr Wiseman did not have any money so Miss clark told him to bring $17 in 7weeks and mr barks told him to give it back to the shopers because we wont get any money.

I liked teams fours performance because it was so funny and so cool and my best person was sassy because hi is the funnyest one ever and the girly one ever.

Technology in world war 1

In the Afternoon Mr burt came into the street and had a little korero with the years 7 and 8 we have to listen to him about Technology 
in world war 1. Mr burt said that his  grandfather got the first
bicycle back in the olden days. He even told us that his grandfathers bicycle did not have any brakes,so this means that if
he goes down the hill he can't stop, the only way to stop is to use your feet.

 
Mr burt also told us about the Germans and the Britains and the 
New Zealanders had to fights and some got killed and some were 
alive and when they got home some of the familys of the soldiers 
were sad because they wont know if they a alive or died. Some soldiers were injured and hurt from different kind of soldiers and 
the people don't know if it's their kids.

Poly Fest.

The 3  things I enjoy doing in the poly fest.

1. doing games and seeing people dancing in  the      stage.

Polyfest

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!  

People dance because they do it for the family and themselves and they love their culture.

These are the steps one might take to performing at the Polyfest.

Today is Mrs Tele’a’s birthday. Team 5 sang Happy Birthday to her. We all went to our literacy classes. Our class went out into the street, she told Hannah to go and turn on the music.
